In a small town, Roanoake, hidden in the Pennsylvania countryside, there are secrets. There is something hidden beneath the happy lifestyle, beneath the soft and smooth exterior is a war. Two families, the McCarlows, and the Calderwoods.They are the two families that the fight started with. No one can remember why the fight started, or when it did. All either family knows is that they're right.... whatever it is they're right about doesn't matter. It's a natural thing for the hatred between the parents to pass down through into the teenagers, the ones that are already thrust into a world of drama and fights. And of course, dances... which is were out particular story comes into play.

Imagine, a highschool-hosted maquarade ball. The fighting families are both represented by their eldest children, Rilla McCarlow and Jared Calderwood. Of course, each family has always had close friends, the one family that they could trust with anything for the longest time. There was the Ashworths, Xavier Ashworth to be exact who was Jared's best friend(the Robin to Jared's Batman, if you will). And with The McCarlows there was the Lamoreaux family, or Andrea Lamoreaux (The Paris to Rilla's Nicole). Everyone was there- everyone who wanted to have a life inside the social scene, that was.

So everyone was there to see the mysterious person who seemed to sweep Miss.Rilla McCarlow right off her feet.
